Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets Review

These are my LIFESAVERS!!

When I'm in university for a long, grueling day, and it's been a while since I applied my make up, I find my face getting quite oily, especially in my T zone.

I bought theses at my local Home Bargains store, which for those who don't know, is a shop that sells brands for cheaper than regular retail price. I was looking in the beauty aisle, looking to burn some money when I spotted these. From reading lots of 'what's in my handbag' posts, I noticed that a lot of people carried oil blotting sheets. I decided there to get some and try them; it wasn't going to be a loss if they were no good. Two boxes were included in a pack, for like £0.79; BARGAIN!

Opening the box you can see that there are lots within one box. Each box is listed as having 50 sheets; I end up using 2-3 a day on my face (if I feel it needs it). There is a small sticky tab on the inside of the front flap which allows for a single sheet to be pulled out automatically; I have not found the need to use yet. The instructions tell you to swipe the plain side over ypur face, as it is the blotting side. Yet, the 'normal' side is so pretty with a floral, vine pattern on it.

Eeew, that's nasty. The blotting side turns a darker shade so that you don't unknowingly rub the oils back onto your face.

Overall, great product. It's definitely going to be a staple of my handbag now that I know about it. As it's so cheap I think I'll have to go and stock up :D

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
