October 2014: My 5 Wish Listers

I feel like I have to write a wish list because there is just so much that I want to buy. Seriously though, amazon and eBay are the devils. These are the top 5 products on my October wishlist:

  • Sleek I-Divine Palette in Snapshots
I had a large makeup clear out earlier this year where I got rid of all my bad, old makeup, and because of this my only palettes are very basic neutral shades. I like Snapshots because of the bright Spring/Summer
colours that would be an awesome addition to my collection. The fact that there are both mattes and shimmers is a bonus.

  • Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush -Something About Berry
I love this blush! The blushes I own are both on the more 'coral' tone of the colour wheel, so I need to branch out a bit. This looks like it would give a perfect pink hint to the cheeks without being too overpowering. The plus side is that the packaging is sooo cute!

  • NYX Makeup Setting Spray - Matte Finish
I have never used a setting spray before, so I don't exactly know if it's something I'm interested in. I've been watching a lot of makeup  collection videos on youtube and they all seem to have some. I have heard that the NYX brand is great so that swayed me towards trying this spray.

  • Benefit First Class Glosses Set
Since my first visit to a benefit counter a few weeks ago (Read post here) you might have noticed that I've become a bit of a Benefit lover. So when I found the Benefit First Class Glosses Set they had to go straight into my wish list. It includes Dandelion, Sugarbomb, Coralista and Bellabamba; all of which are travel sized. It is perfect for me to try before I buy the full sized products.

  • Limecrime Opaque Lipstick -Babette/Coquette
This one I am having a hard time deciding over. I want the one that works best for my fair skin tone, but which is it? Babette or Coquette?

Let me know what you guys think in the comments box below. <3

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
