November 2014: My 5 Wish Listers

With the Christmas season almost upon us I am constantly seeing products that I'm in love with. There are just so many that I want to try! Below are just some of the ones that are higher on my list:

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso

This one was just resting on the line for me. I could buy it off of Ebay or Amazon now, or I could wait until I go back to America where it would probably work out cheaper.

Regardless, Milani Baked Blushes are supposed to be some of the best. They are supposed to be really pigmented and super-long lasting. I think the shade Luminoso would be the best to try first as it looks like a natural shimmery flush colour.

Revlon ColorBurst Lipglosses Set

A product that I've seen in a few makeup collection videos on youtube, that I just fancy trying. No other real reason. It is a set of four different shades.

Nyx Centre Stage Jumbo Pencil Set

This is more of a need product than a wish. I have very little in terms of eye-shadow bases and coloured eyeliners. I need to expand my collection and experiment a bit, and these would be perfect for that. Especially Milk; think of the possibilities...

I recently discovered that Nyx is sold in my local next store, which I thought was strange. It says select Next stores, so I thought that the Nexts in the larger cities would get them. I went to Glasgow's main shopping area, hit two large Nexts and nothing. Nada.

ColourStay Foundation in Ivory

I have only ever used two foundations in my life: Rimmel True Match and Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. After some time, the Matte Mousse appeared to make my skin seem very dry and flakey. The Rimmel True Match (which I use now) is a very sheer foundation, and sometimes I have bad skin days very I need a fuller coverage.

In a few makeup collection videos, I've noticed that people usually have bottles of this in their drawers. I hope that it would be of a slightly thicker consistency than the Rimmel True Match.

Too Faced Melted Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Marshmallow

Love, Love, Love!! I NEED this! I've seen swatches of this all over instagram. I looks like such a pretty pink, and so creamy and pigmented.

I was going to buy the Too Faced Melted Holiday set, but the tubes were so small that I couldn't justify the purchase. Instead I'm gonna save up a bit and buy a full sized in the best colour.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
