Lush Face Mask

OH MAH GAWSH! Can you believe that before last week I had never been to Lush; when ever I pass it in the street the smell just overwhelms me. But lately, I've been more interested into revamping my skincare products. I'm not a big skincare fanatic; due to having hyper sensitive skin and a histimine intolerance means that I'm over cautious using products on my skin.

I went into Lush originally looking only for their lip scrubs, but was sided tracked by the masks. The sales assistant swayed me into puts using them which lead to me, the pushover I am, buying one. The selling factor was that the masks are fresh, made with natural ingredients, and that the mask I purchased was good for sensitive skin.

I tried it, and honestly, I can say it is amazing. It dries completely in a bit over ten minutes and just flakes off. After a wash, my skin is left feeling super-soft and a bit healthier. I've used it three times now and I have yet to take a reaction to it. The only downside to it, and I'm just being nitpicky, is that it's freezing cold when you apply it. I supposed that's the down side to a fresh mask that has to live in the fridge.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I originally went into Lush looking for this product. My lips have been peeling more than often recently, so I wanted something to get rid of the dead skin. I never had to look far for it as right when I walked into Lush, it was right there.

I never looked around for the other flavours that they are supposed to do; I’m in love with all things bubblegum flavoured. I love that you can just scrub it on then lick it off. The taste is phenomenal. I use The Body Shop Born Lippy in plum afterwards; to leave my lips feeling silky soft.

Physicians Formula Powder Palette: Mineral Glow Pearls Blush

I feel incredibly lucky to find this product. As far as I’m aware, Physicians Formula is not available in the UK, I think? I found this in the Beauty department of my local TK Maxx.

I’m a TK Maxx junkie; I would live in the store if I could! I find it great for the hair and beauty as you can get some really great deals. You can also find some one off products, such as Physicians Formula, as they are the result of coming from the TJ Maxx stores in the US. I was adamant that I had to get this; I knew otherwise I’d have to wait until next August when I get back to Florida.

The blush is a rosy, bright pink (the shade is Rose Pearls!) with tiny, little silver shimmers in it. The bottom of the pot opens to reveal a small mirror and a fairly decent brush; a bit similar to that in the Benefit boxed powders.

It's great as it gives the cheeks a nice pink flush and makes the face look a bit brighter, as the shimmer is not too obvious.

SoEco Powder Brush

This was another purchase from TK Maxx. I never had any large, fluffy powder brushes before this, so I naturally had to get one.

I loved the fact that the brush is co-friendly, but it wasn't the most important factor. It was more important that the brush was large, good quality and super-soft. I got all of this in the SoEco Powder Brush.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
