5 Must Have Products by Makeup Revolution

Hey everyone

I love Makeup Revolution! I first revieved some products not long after Black Friday (I got the free Black Friday bundle!), and so far I have been very impressed. So much so, that I now have a wishlist of other products that I need to buy and try.

Blush Palette - All About Pink

The description on their website:

'Celebrate the amazing PINK Blusher with this amazing palette. Mixture of matte, shimmer and baked merged powders.Comes in professional palette with large full sized mirror.'
MY THOUGHTS

I currently have this palette in Golden Sugar, and I was very impressed with it. It's a highly pigmented palette, which leads to great colour pay off. The is a mixture of both shimmer and matte finishes in the palette. I'm a total blush junkie and this palette would make a nice addition to my collection. I could see it getting lots of use.

The All About Pink is available on the Makeup Revolution website for £6, which is a bargain for eight shades.

Ultra 32 Shade Eyeshadow Palette - FLAWLESS

The description on their website:
'ULTRA 32 eyeshadow palette are the perfect professional eyeshadow go to palette. All you need in one handy collection palette.

32 shades in 1 palette with a great mix of shimmer and matte wearable and experimental shades to create any look and play with, for amazing performance and value.

Our ULTRA eyeshadows are packed full of pigment and all NEW shades. Large full sized mirror.'

MY THOUGHTS

I need this. I live large eyeshaodw palettes; they give you so much variety when compared to smaller quads. Just looking at this makes me excited; the khakis, the burgundys etc. There is a mixture of both matte and shimmer shades mixed in the palette. I feel like you could use this palette for both day and night looks, with no problem. I also love that the palette has a matte black; it's hard to find a palette with one, which is so sad as it's so versatile and needed. The shades look like they are all very neutral, and not too in your face.

Flawless is available on the Makeup Revolution website for £8, which is also a bargain!

Focus and Fix Brow Kit Medium - Dark

The description on their website:

The ULTIMATE brow kit

The ultimate must have brow kit containing 3 brow powders and a wax cream. The shades are all very blendable to match your eyebrow colour easily, and the applicator included is all you need for a perfect brow.

MY THOUGHTS

I love little eyebrow kits like this. They have everything for my brows, such as tweezers, different powder colours and a gel. I like how the kit is quite compact making it perfect for when I'm traveling.

The Focus and Fix Brow Kit is available on the Makeup Revolution website for £2.50.

I ♡ Makeup Naked Chocolate

The description on their website:

The Love Affair with Chocolate continues with the stripped back eyeshadow collection in our collectable chocolate bar palettes.

Naked Chocolate is here. Containing 16 stunning eyeshadows for perfect bare to smokey eyes, mixture of shimmer and matte shades. 3D chocolate palette with full size mirror and applicator.

MY THOUGHTS

I have seen this palette sooo much on twitter the past week. It is everywhere. At first, I was like all 'Oh,there's nothing really exciting about it'. But now that I look at it closer, It's all the darker browns and taupes which suit my skin tone best.

The Naked Chocolate is available on the Makeup Revolution website for £2.50.

Ultra Velour Lip Cream - All I think about is you

The description on their website:

Love Intensive Colour, Cream Finish & Comfortable Wear ? Get a Lip formulation first! Ultra Velour Lip Cream.

Our stunning new lip creams give you a VELOUR matte finish with ULTRA Intensive Colour, they apply SMOOTH, and FEEL amazing COMFORTABLE to wear.

MY THOUGHTS

One thing that I lack in my collection is matte lip colours. Other than my MAC Ruby Woo I pretty much have nothing. Th colours look super bright and rich. My only worry is that they'd make my lips super dry, or that they won't have a long lasting durability.

The Ultra Velour Lip Cream are available on the Makeup Revolution website for £3.

Let me know what Makeup Revolution products you are excited to try!

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
