Haul of lovely goodies!

Most of this haul comes from Tk Maxx and I make no apologies for that. It is no secret that it is my absolute favourite shop to find little amazing beauty bargains. I also like that fact that I could chance upon some exclusive brands from America, which are not stocked here.

Sephora by OPI Nail Colour
It's rather unfortunate but here in the UK Sephora does not exist. There are no branches. For this reason, I was so freaking happy to find these hidden away at my local Tk Maxx. These came in a set of four and were in the clearance at £10 (BARGAIN!!!). The four shades, in order are: Cover me in Petals; Set the Mood; Ms. can't be Wrong, and  Only Gold for Me.

Essie Nail Lacquers
I love my Essie polishes, but I would grudge paying £7.99 for one out of Boots. For that price, I could get two out of Tk Maxx. The only difference is that the colour variety is more limited. I bought three single bottles that were all in the clearance section for £3 each. I was very pleased with the shades that I picked up: Fashion Playground; Toggle to the Top, and Cashmere Bathrobe.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara
This is probably the impulse buy of the lot. I saw Bobbi Brown and was all like 'IMUSTHAVETHIS!!!' The deal was sweetened further by it only being £3.99. It is a smaller than average tube but, as I said earlier, it was an impulse buy!!

BareMinerals Eyeshadow Quad
I am totaslly in love with this and cannot wait to try this out. The name of the quad is 'The A List', which is a selection of pinky-purple shades, and it only cost me £9.99. The shades are: Icebreaker, Fashionably Late; Swanky, and Black Tie Optional. There was also another BareMinerals palette in the store but it was full of blue shades. I thought that the pinks and purples would be better for my green eyes than blue.

Loreal Colour Infallible Eye-shadows
These were the biggest bargains that I picked up out of my local Poundland; two Loreal Colour Infallibles. One is #018 Blue Curacao, which is a matte finish, and the other is #031 Innocent Turquoise, which is an iridescent finish. These are very summery colours, and I also don't have anything remotely like them. I have heard that the Colour Infallibles are amazing, and very much a favourite of everyones, so I had to try them.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye-shadow Stick
Another amazing product that I never even expected to find in Poundland. I don't own any eye-shadow sticks, and so I have nothing to compare it to. It is in the shade #013 Teasing Turquoise, which I think would be the perfect base to put under the Colour Infallibles.

Nivea Lip Butter Pot
It is official: I now own EVERY Nivea Lip Butter! I wanted this a long time ago but it was no where to be found. None of the shops seemed to stock it anymore, where I am that is. There was only two left in Poundland, so I had to buy it. I'd regret it if I never. I't will now join the rest of it's Butter pot family.

Seaworld Dvd
I am so excited to be going back to Florida this YEAR!!! I picked up this free dvd purely for nostalgic reasons. Hopefully, it will make the next seven months go by faster.

GForce Luggage ID Tags
Just some quirky luggage tags; again for Florida. They were only £4.99 for the pair. When I went last year, every one had some type of red case! Now while mine is pink, my mother's is red, and this cause her to panic that someone would pick up her bag on the entire nine hour flight. Through the long wait at customs. Right up until it was in her hand. It was the exact same on the way home....Well not this year!!!

White owl Statue
I could not resist this cute statue. I thought that he (yes, he!) would be perfect either on a shelf on my drawers. I have named him Henry; for some strange reason. He was in the Asda home sale for only £3.

The promise I made to myself to not spend any money this month went right down the drain. Since I'm back at university now and I have to walk straight through the city centre. Long story short, the temptation was far too great for me to handle.

Who else failed at sticking to their spending ban?

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
