January Favourites!

Hey guys!

It's the end of the month and that means it's time for....JANUARY'S FAVOURITES! Yes, here I will tell you all what I consider to be my favourite products for the month of January. Can you believe how fast this month has went? It's like time has been put on fast forward, which I'm not complaining about; get me closer to Florida and all!

Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose
It's winter people, and as we all know chapped lips are everywhere! I found that lipsticks and glosses were just not cutting it in the bitter cold winds of Scotland. I have a tin of this everywhere; bags, pockets, drawers. I am so in love with the scent; it's so sweet and yummy smelling! It's quite thick, so it lasts a really long time too!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze
I bought this way back at the start of December, and I can safely say that it has changed my life. I use it either on it's own or as a base for eye-shadow. I find that it's great when I'm in a rush, to just apply with my finger and smudge out and harsh lines. When I use it as a base, then I find my eye-shadow lasts like over twelve hours! How insane is that?!

Essence How to Make Brows Wow!
This may be my favourite brow product ever (how blasphemous, I know!) This is another product that I got a while back and have not been able to stop using. I visited the Essence popup-shop in Glasgow, during the MTV Awards, and this was the only thing that I bought. The brunette shade matches me perfectly, and the highlighter...there are not even words to describe it. Combine this with mini tweezers, a small mirror, and a dual ended angle brush! I need to stock up for when this is finished. I've been using it everyday and have barely made a dent yet, as you only need so little.

Benefit Porefessional
Sad fact of the day: I started back at University two weeks ago :( With a combination of early starts and late nights I find that my makeup needs to last forever. Well, with this it does! I am still working my way through the small sample sized tube that I got in my advent calendar. A little does indeed go a long way! It's such a smooth formula and make my skin feel soooo soft afterwards.

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Nail Polish in Shell Secrets
My nails have kind of fallen to the wayside recently. I haven't been putting too much effort into doing them. A few slicks of polish is about all that I can manage. This has been a rescue for me. It is such a pretty pale pink with an icy shimmer to it. It not only makes my nails tough, but sparkly as well.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
