Here in Dundee, we were very fortunate to have a MAC counter opened up in our Debenhams beauty hall after the whole Cinderella collection had already been snapped up. Due to that, they received a whole shipment of the collection in on their first day in operation. I was too late to pick up any of the lip products, but managed to get my hands on this which I had also had my eye on.
The packaging is the prettiest packaging from MAC that I have ever bought. It is not the typical standard black box, but a very pretty cornflower blue colour. I find that if I shine it in the light then I can see a pink shimmer over the top. There are lines of shiny gold all around the edges, as well as gold lettering. It's such an iconic packaging that no one will forget in a hurry. The fluidline pot follows the same theme as the outer packaging; a cornflower blue pot lid and 'Cinderella' inscribed in gold.
Little Black Bow is a warm grey tone. It has a metallic finish with tiny little sliver micro-glitter interspersed throughout. It is not completely opaque, which means that it has to be worn layered for full opacity. It is nice to be worn as an everyday colour, or when going out for a special occasion. I find that it gives a more subtle colour than black eye-liner, which is a bit harsher. The formula is a lot smoother than what I expected, and creamy without being oily. With it being so creamy I expected there to be some transfer, but it has amazing staying power.
Did you manage to snatch up any of the coveted Cinderella pieces back when they came out?
