Little Twinkling Fairy Lights

I was rooting through the deep abyss in which I keep all my nail varnishes when I stumbled upon this pretty little beauty. To my shock it had never been opened; the plastic seal was still on it. I was so shocked that it was still sealed as it's rare for me to not even try a product out.

This is Barry M Nail Paint in 'Fairy Lights' which was a limited edition shade back during the holiday season of 2013. It has a clear gel like base in which suspended are little pink, purple and sliver holographic glitters. With p
olishes like this I tend to excessively layer thin coats until the nail is completely shrouded in glitter. I like the ultra glitzy effect it gives.

The only problem with glitter polishes, like Fairy Lights, is that it takes so much effort to remove all the particles, but that also means that it is extremely long lasting. I think that I most likely got this free on a 'buy two get this free' offer as Barry M tends to promote that during the holidays. It also explains why I had not yet used it.

What are you hoping for in this years limited edition Christmas polishes?

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.
Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I knew th…

Farewell to Lime Crime Unicorn Lipsticks

As you may, or may not, know Lime Crime are discontinuing their Unicorn Lipsticks. Such a sad thing, I know. I remember first hearing of the lipstick from a family member who had one in their collection. I always promised myself that one day, I would have a Unicorn Lipstick. When I seen their Instagram post about the discontinue, I immediately went onto their website and bought not one or two, but THREE Unicorn Lipstick. Let me tell you I have never been happier; their are no post buy regrets on these babies!

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
