Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb!

Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb! in Coral Pop!

It is very rare for me to come across a product that I dislike; the only product that I have come across so far is the E.l.f Baked Eye-shadow Palette in Texas. It's not that the product is necessarily a really bad product, but just because it doesn't work as well for me. What I hate another person might actually really love. That being said I love to give anything a chance and this product is no exception.

I picked up this Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb! in the colour Coral Pop a few months back. Too Faced has so far came out with some amazing products that I really love - like the Chocolate Bar Palette and the Exotic Colour Intense Eye-shadows -which made me really eager to try a lip product.

As with all Too Faced products the packaging is super cute and girly. The tube reflects the colour of the actual product with a gold cap and bottom. The format is essentially a bullet shaped chubby stick, that you have to wind up the bottom to access more product.

The Lip Injections are described on the website as giving up to 20% more volume to the lips. With such a large percentage increase, I knew that ultimately the formula would be stronger than any of the other lip plumpers that I had previously tried - such as Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker. I actually enjoy the tingling sensation that my lips experience with lip plumpers, so I though I knew what I was getting into.

This BURNT! My lips experienced a tingling sensation similar to what I expected, which quickly turned into a burning itchy feeling. It felt like lots of tiny little burning hot pinpricks on my lips (I am wearing this as I type to accurately describe the feeling). It was quite uncomfortable for roughly five to seven minutes.

The colour is highly pigmented, as expected from any Too Faced product, and I thinks goes so well with my colouring. It's finish sat somewhere between a satin and a matte; the longevity was similar to a matte - lasting a good few hours- but there was a moisturising element to the product too. There is a slight smell to the product, it's really nostalgic to my childhood. I can't really describe it other than sweet and sugary - possibly strawberries?

Other than the short burning sensation, I really like the product. It says to discontinue use if you experience discomfort, but I think I will still use it sparingly. If it looks like a product that you would enjoy using then you can buy it from any Too Faced beauty counter at Debenhams for £19.00.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.
Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I knew th…

Farewell to Lime Crime Unicorn Lipsticks

As you may, or may not, know Lime Crime are discontinuing their Unicorn Lipsticks. Such a sad thing, I know. I remember first hearing of the lipstick from a family member who had one in their collection. I always promised myself that one day, I would have a Unicorn Lipstick. When I seen their Instagram post about the discontinue, I immediately went onto their website and bought not one or two, but THREE Unicorn Lipstick. Let me tell you I have never been happier; their are no post buy regrets on these babies!

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
