Top Picks from Holiday Haul!

I  bought a ton of beauty products on holiday in Florida; I could stock a drugstore beauty aisle. I have enough makeup to keep me going until my next trip in 240 DAYS!!! I wanted to share with you all some of my favourite products that I purchased. There will be a mix of exclusive to the US (or very hard to get in the UK) and normal products that can be found at the likes of Superdrug.

Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitizers
The best thing that I have ever bought and I now need a lifetime supply. Why, oh why, can't B&BWs ship internationally. I shopped during the Labour Day sales which had a deal of 5 for $6, which when translated back into pounds, is an amazing deal. So far my favourite has been Sonoma

Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I had been wishing for this for a while, and was going to pick it up several times on my trip. It took me until I was on the plane back from Florida that I finally decided to bite the bullet. It is the best thing that ever happened to me.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick
I've seen a lot of youtube videos and blogs about the famous Anastasia Beverley Hills Liquid Lipsticks and wanted the chance to try them for myself. The Macy's I went to had next to no colour options in stock so I picked up Potion and Baby Pink.

Too Faced Love Flush Blush
It's an all round cute product; packaging, colour, name. I could not resist.

MAC 168
I had been wanting this brush for a while too, so I thought it would work out better to buy it in America when its in dollars. I like using it for my blushes mainly. It's just so soft and fluffy, but gets dirty very easily.

It's easy to see that a fair few of my packages are coveted products, those that are seen a lot on blogs and videos. I blame you all and I love you all for it.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
