Ari by Arianna Grande Review

I admit I'm not a hardcore fan of Arianna Grande; in fact I've not heard any of her music except for her collab with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj. But never before have I encountered a perfume that seems tailored to my tastes, until I bought Ari.

What drew me in was the ultra cute bottle with the fuzzy pompom! The bottle is a girly-girls dream design. It's a geometric textured design, kind of inspired by the facets of a cut gemstone. The liquid is pink tinted which combines nicely with the rosy pink metallic cap. There is a super fluffy white pompom attached to the cap, which can be detached and put on a handbag as it's only held on with a claw clasp. The overall design is so pretty that it has to be displayed proudly on my vanity desk.

Moving on to the scent. It's a very sweet, not in a totally fruity way, but more of a musk undertone. There is a slight fruitiness which I feel lifts the scent and makes it a bit lighter. Over time I feel that the muskiness dissipates and what's left is just the sweet fragrance. Some of the fragrance notes are: raspberry, vanilla orchid, marshmallow and musk. I have to say that I don't get the the marshmallow at all, unless that is just what makes it so sweet. Maybe my nose is just not that sensitive?

I am quite in love with this fragrance; right now there is the possibility of this being my new favourite. It's currently in competition with my Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom cologne. It's £23 for 30ml of fragrance which I think is a fair price; definitely worth at try at least, even if your unsure.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods. Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in. MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look. For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
