Could This Be The Best Face Mask I Have Ever Tried?

If you know me then you know that I love trying out the Fresh Face Masks from Lush; see my reviews of the Festive Cranberry, and the Cupcake/Cosmetic Catastrophe. My most recent purchase was 'Don't Look At Me!

Let's face it, the colour was a big factor in buying it. It is such a bright and rich turquoise colour that stands out so much in the store display when compared to the neutral greens and creams. How cool would it be to walk around scaring house guests with the shock of the colour.

The three top ingredients are fresh organic lemon juice, murumuru butter and grapefruit oil. The lemon and grapefruit, combined with the chilled temperature of it having been in the fridge, make the mask very fresh and uplifting. The zesty citrus scent brightens up any dull day that I may be having. Mixed into the face mask is ground rice, which I thought was rather unusual to begin with. Now though, I am so thankful for it. I'm very prone to having flaky, dry skin around my nose. After the first few uses of this mask, I notice that my foundation did not catch on any dry patches; because there were none! There is a visible difference between how my foundation sits when I have, and have not, used the mask.

I will one hundred percent be repurchasing this again; once I have been through the rest of the Fresh Face Mask Line. I still have like another nine to try out for the first time, and one that I want to retry. This Still goes down as my top Lush Fresh Face Mask!

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods. Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in. MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look. For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
