Lush Boxing Day Sale Haul


I never realised how amazing the Lush Boxing Day sale was until now. It's only a small store where I live and the queue was wrapped round the whole shop. They had people waiting outside to be let in! I was weighing up whether I could be bothered waiting, but then I seen that the Christmas products were all half price. I was sold. I went around picking up anything with a star sticker on it knowing that if I didn't then I would be waiting until next year to try them.

Thus I present my preciousss...


Christingle

Similar to a hair conditioner, but for the body. It's supposed to be really good for wakening up due to the refreshing, minty feeling it gives. Three of the top ingredients are: murumuru butter, fair-trade shea butter and peppermint oil.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel

The ultimate Christmas scent! If there wasn't so much that I wanted to try, I would have stockpiled quite a few bottles of this. It smells so sweet and sugary; similar to bubblegum or candy floss. There's shimmer in the shower gel which make it all that more amazing.


First Snow Dusting Powder

To be honest I'm not sure when I'm going to use this; I don't want to sparkle on an every day basis. I have a few events coming up in the next few months that might be more appropriate. It makes the skin feel so soft and silky. Three of the top ingredients are: snowflake lustre, sweet orange oil and cognac oil.


Rose Jam Shower Gel

One of two impulse buys of the whole haul. The shop only had a few of the smallest bottles left, which led me to think it must be a great product to be nearly sold out. Three of the top ingredients are: goji berry juice, argan oil and organic rose absolute.


Butterbear Bath Bomb

I've been seeing this in a lot of lush blog posts, so thought I'd give it a try. It's supposed to be really nourishing to the skin. Three of the top ingredients are: fair-trade organic cocoa butter, ylang ylang and cocoa powder.


Cinders Bath Bomb

The popping candy on top was the biggest selling point of this bath bomb; I tell no lies. Three of the top ingredients are: popping candy, gardenia extract and almond essential oil.


Bar Humbug Bubble Bar 

The second impulse buy of the whole haul. I just wanted to try it, no other reasoning. I do like that most bubble bars can last for two baths. Three of the top ingredients are: bergamot oil, fennel oil and tarragon oil.


Merry and Bright Gift Set


Beautiful Shower Gel

This may be in competition with Snow Fairy and The Comforter for my top Lush shower gel scent. It's so fruity and fresh; perfect for when the weather starts getting warmer. Three of the top ingredients are: apricot infusion, fresh peach juice and gardenia extract.


Rub Rub Rub Body Scrub

I've noticed more dry skin these past months so this will be a good product to try an combat this. Never used a scrub bar before so it could be interesting.Three of the top ingredients are:  cupuacu butter, jasmine absolute and fine sea salt.


Celebrate Body Lotion

The least of the three that I was excited about. It smells amazingly fresh and citrusy, but I just don't get too excited about body lotions.  Three of the top ingredients are: fair-trade cocoa butter, almond oil and Brazilian orange oil.


I feel that it's a lot, as I still have some from my previous Christmas Lush Haul, but some of the use-by dates are the end of 2016 and mid year 2017! These will last me a long time, possibly until Easter? Maybe?

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
