Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in 'Prickly Pear'

While the weather outside is freezing and dismal, I am in spring mode already. Putting away thick winter jackets, and getting out my lightweight blazers. I've started bring out all my pastel nail polishes and nude lipstick in hopes of warmer weather.

I decided to go full-on flashback to way before makeup was even on my rader, to one of the nail polishes that started it all. I'm pretty sure this was gifted to me at one of my birthday's, and was what lead to Barry M becoming one of my favourite nail polish brands.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in 'Prickly Pear' is a nice, vibrant pastel lavender shade that was just asking to be used. I used three coats to achieve a full opaque finish. The formula is a very creamy; the only reason that three coats were needed was that my nails kept chipping and I had to patch them up. I love the glossy finish of the Gelly Hi-Shine polishes, I feel that you don't always have to wear a top coat over the top!

What was the polish that started off your collections?

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.
Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I knew th…

Farewell to Lime Crime Unicorn Lipsticks

As you may, or may not, know Lime Crime are discontinuing their Unicorn Lipsticks. Such a sad thing, I know. I remember first hearing of the lipstick from a family member who had one in their collection. I always promised myself that one day, I would have a Unicorn Lipstick. When I seen their Instagram post about the discontinue, I immediately went onto their website and bought not one or two, but THREE Unicorn Lipstick. Let me tell you I have never been happier; their are no post buy regrets on these babies!

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
