My MAC Collection Part Two


This is the second part of my MAC collection; seven shades out of the thirteen I own. The first part of my collection was my reds and nudes, and this part is my pink and purple shades. 



From left to right there is: Rebel, Plumful, Creme de la Femme, Fabby, Only You Creme Cup, and Saint Germain. These are the shades that I will most likely be reaching for non-stop during Spring and Summer.



Saint Germain (Amplified Creme Finish)
Saint Germain is almost a neon, bright pink which has a very blue undertone. It does look very scary in the tube. This was like the third Mac lipstick that I bought; a very bold and brave choice. It is another one of the shades that I find it very hard to wear.





Creme Cup (Cremesheen Finish)

This is a soft, baby pink colour that has a touch of peach to it. Since it is such a pale and creamy colour it can tend to since into the fine lines on my lips. It is such a lovely colour for during the Spring and Summer.





Only You (Cremesheen Finish)

This was released as a part of the limited edition Ellie Goulding collection. Only you is a rosy pink colour, very suitable for everyday use. In comparison to Creme Cup, this is much darker and rosier. Only You has become a recent everyday favourite of mine.





Fabby (Frost Finish)

Fabby is a muted mauve pink that has a golden frost finish.  This is another one of my favourites out of my collection. I just feel like it is the most unique shade that I have to date, due to the frost finish. I just think that it looks really flattering.





Creme de la Femme (Frost Finish)

Creme de la Femme is very similar to Fabby in colour, but much more vibrant pink. Since it's so bright and pinky, I can see this getting a lot of use during Spring/Summer. But, since Creme de la Femme and Fabby are so similar, I would only buy one or the other.





Plumful (Lustre Finish)

Plumful is a deeper, berry pink toned lipstick with a lustre finish. It makes the lips look so moisturised and plump. The Lustre finish tends to make MAC lipsticks more sheer, but I find this to be quite highly pigmented. Once the glossiness fades way, a nice berry stain remains on the lips.





Rebel (Satin Finish)

This is very much a cult classic fave. Rebel is a very deep, dark berry colour that is so appropriate for during the Autumn/Winter seasons. When the lipstick wears off, the stain left behind is such vibrant that there is no hurry to reapply. I feel bad for not giving this one as much love as it should have.
I love my MAC lippies! They are one of my favourite brands of lipstick, and the colour choice is so big. I'm already planning the next addition to my little MAC family!

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
