Tarte Maracuja Cheek Tint in Deep Berry

With the transition into Spring, I find that I have been reaching more and more for my liquid and cream blushes over the traditional powders. I prefer liquid and creams during Spring, as I find that their finishes create a dewier appearance. One of the staples in my collection is the Tarte Maracuja Cheek Tint in the shade Deep Berry.

I love the packaging. I always prefer a bottle with a pump compared to a squeeze tube. It distributes the tiniest 'pea' sized about so that too much is not used and wasted. The bottle itself is very aesthetically pleasing; a deep pink bottle with golden writing and purple detailing.

Deep Berry, as the name suggests, is a deep pink berry colour that I think would be universally flattering on many skin-tones. I dabbed a little bit of the blush on the apples of my cheeks, and blended it out with my cream blush brush; with is just a MAC 187 stippling brush. A word of warning though, this product stains, badly. It took over twenty-four hours for the stains on the tips of my fingers to begin to fade. The texture of the blush is neither a dream or a liquid, but more of a gel consistency, which is quite cool.

Do I not look Spring fresh? I love the nice, light flush this Tarte Maracuja Cheek Tint gives me. It looks like I've been out having fun in the sun, enjoying the nicer weather. It gives my cheeks a nice 'lightness' that just generally uplifts any makeup look that I pair with it.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods. Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in. MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look. For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
