Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in 'Blueberry'

I think that one of the most exciting things about going on holiday, other than the actual trip, is doing my nails. I pick up one or two nail polishes for specific holidays and they become sentimental to me. Does that make me seem weird? Nails were my big passion before I really got into makeup, and it probably will always be my first beauty love.

I picked up  the Barry M Gelly High-Shine Nail Paint in the shade "Blueberry'. It reminds me of what I'd call a seaside blue, very similar to a cornflower blue colour. Looking at the swatch on my nails actually makes me think that I may have similar colours in my collection.

For this shade, I only had to use two coats to achieve a full opaque finish. The formula is a very creamy, which somethings does streak a bit, but I found this particular shade was fine. I've said it before; I love the glossy finish of the Gelly Hi-Shine polishes. If I sandwich the polish in between a bottom and top coat of gel polish then it lasts forever! It saves me having to spend over £30 on a salon gel manicure, and works just as well.

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.
Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I knew th…

A Different Take on The Maybelline Color Tattoo?!

I don't know about you guys but I am obsessed with the Maybelline Color Tattoos! Quite often during the summer I will just pop some of the On and On Bronze onto my lids and I will be good to go. When I was on a last minute dash to Walgreens the day before my flight home from Florida, I spotted some of the Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Chromes hidden on a bottom shelf at the BACK of the beauty aisles. I was so excited that it flew into my basket.
