American Drugstore Haul

I promised a matching American drugstore haul for my previous American high-end haul, so here it it. This is a mixture of Walgreens, Cvs and Ross Dress for Less with a touch of Bed, Bath and Beyond. There was a Walgreens just across the street from me, the willpower was not strong. I was in there like every second night, mainly for food, but that beauty aisle is always the first aisle in the store right at the entrance...I had to keep being dragged away. Looking at my haul like this, I can see I was on a fiercely strong Milani kick.

Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless
Holy grail forever and forever foundation. I will always repurchase. I brought this back last year and I finished the bottle a week or two before I left, so this went to the top of my list. I was going to get it here in Scotland, but the packaging is different and what if the formula was different?

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Argan Oil
I have occasionally gracing the pages of Instagram. Not going to lie, this was a whim purchase. The bottle is so very pretty, and supposedly the argan oil can be used for hair, nails and all sorts of other things.

Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in Blackest Black
I have been neglecting the gel liners of my collection, which sits at a meagre two. Both of which are shimmery shades, so I thought to pick up a plain old black. Hopefully I can now pack back up at perfecting my gel liner, because I'm horrible at it.

Revlon Lash Potion Mascara
Long story short: I lost the mascara that I took along with me, bought this then discovered  my mascara hidden in the dark recesses of my backpack. No other reason for picking this up, other than I think it is now discontinued and Ross Dress for Less had it for a discounted price.

Milani Moisture Lock in Grapeseed Oil
It looks like the drugstore version of the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil. I hadn't heard amazing things about it, but I was willing to take a chance on it. I ended up getting quite a bad sunburn on my lips, and this kept them so moisturised.

Milani Amore Matte Lip Cream in Precious
Yeass!! I hunted these so hard last year but they were all snapped up; this year I was successful. I have only heard good things about these on Kathleen Light's channel, so I thought why not! Also, I was crushing hard on liquid lips during this trip.

Milani Powder Blush in Tea Rose
It is so pretty that I don't want to destroy it! It's very much my everyday blush colour, a neutral mauve-pink that is suitable for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

Wet and Wild Megalast Lipsticks in Cherry Bomb, Just Peachy and Wine Room
I was wary picking these up at the drugstore as they were so cheap, but I have heard amazing things about them. Oh my god, these are amazing; why are the only a couple of dollars. I'd recommend everyone picked up some when they are in America. They are so pigmented and have a creamy, but matte finish.

Milani Color Statement Matte Lipstick in Naked
Another one that everyone says is amazing, and that I need to try. The is a normal creamy version, but mattes are more my thing. While my Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Lipstick in Cool Girl is my perfect nude liquid lipstick, the Milani Color Statement Matte Lipstick in Naked is my perfect nude lipstick.

There was a couple of products missed out because they're in my handbag and I'm too lazy to go get them, but this is my drugstore haul. Hope you all liked it. I'm never really sure if people like to see hauls or if they'd just like to see the reviews, so let me know!

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
