My skin is going through a bit of a rough patch right now. I don't know if the change in seasons or if my skin is just changing, just it has not been happy at all. I recently walked into the Body Shop doing some early Christmas shopping, when I noticed that they had a little sale going on. Skincare is a major part of my beauty routine that I am currently making an effort to expand so I was very excited about their sale. The one product that I was super excited about, and actually purchased, was the Vitamin E Skincare Collection.
The Vitamin E Skincare Collection set contains: the Vitamin E Cream Cleanser, the Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil, and the Vitamin E Moisture Cream. The set is designed to allow people to have a chance to trial some of the products in the collection without committing to the full size versions. Size-wise the Cream Cleanser is roughly a quarter of the full-size, the Moisture Cream is half of the full-size and the Overnight Serum-in-oil is a full size product. On their website, the Body Shop claim that their Vitamin E collection can help protect our skin from things such as pollution, cigarette smoke and UV rays.
Set one in the Vitamin E Skincare Collection set is the Vitamin E Cream Cleanser. The texture of this is so light and soothing on my skin. It leaves my face feeling so clean and so, so soft. I found this to be a very different type of cleanser compared to what I usually use. Normally I use a foaming cleanser, so for this to stay as a cream is unusual for me. One of it's great ingredients is Community Trade soya oil from Brazil.
The next step in the set is the Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil. The aim of the product is to renew the skin overnight so that the skin is recharged. The oil is supposed to be be non-greasy and fast absorbing, but I find that it doesn't completely absorb into my skin. It might just be my skin. The feeling of it on my skin is not unpleasant though, because it is not greasy feeling in the slightest. The Body Shop claim that the affects are supposed to last for eight hours which I completely agree with. The Community Trade ingredient identified in this is the sesame seed oil from Nicaragua.
The last step of the Vitamin E Skincare Collection set is the Vitamin E Moisture Cream. I love that the cream is very thin and skins into the skin so very easily, that I don't have to wait long before I can put on my primer. My skin still feels very moisturised even when I wake up in the morning. The Moisture Cream is designed to leave the skin soft and more radiant looking after continual use. The Community Trade ingredients continue in this product with biofermented hyaluronic acid form France, shea butter from Ghana, and aloe vera from Mexico.
I have really been enjoying using this set for over three weeks now. My skin has a much better texture and my makeup sits much better on my skin. I have noticed quite a large difference for the small amount of time that I have been using the set. The only thing that it hasn't changed is my breakouts, which it isn't targeted towards. The most amazing part about the set was that it was under £10!! I mean, how much of a deal is that? To try out a new skincare set without breaking the bank. The full size Overnight Serum-in-Oil, which is what comes in the set, is £15 on the website. Go! Run! Grab this set while it's still in stock because I cannot recommend it enough.
