My Top 5 Winter Lipsticks

Let me start by stating: I love Winter! The chunky knits, tartan blanket scarves, and oodles of hot chocolate become my new norm. Christmas preparations come into full swing and everyone becomes super festive. When I think of what type of lipstick I typically gravitate towards during Winter, I see deep dark reds, rich berry tones, and dark nudes. There are five lipsticks in particular that I have found myself reaching for more during the current and past Winters. And they're all tried and tested, nothing brand new or just discovered.

First Ever Colourpop Haul!

I have been wishing and wishing to try some Colourpop goodies since I first started this blog three years ago! I just struggled with the idea of placing a large order and then getting crazy customs fees on top of that. Not to mention they only started shipping to the Uk earlier this year! So, I finally decided to bit the bullet and place an order. I decided to place a big order and have it shipped to my Disney World hotel during my holiday last month. My Disney World trip was a joint present for my university graduation and 24th birthday, so what was a little more splurge?

October Monthly Beauty Favourites

It's November!! Halloween has been and gone, and now it's full steam ahead to Christmas. I'm going on my annual Christmas shopping trip with my mum on Saturday! Pray for the souls of all us retail workers. I've already had a few soul destroying shifts with a six-foot Santa animatronic blaring out the Christmas jingles, and that was before Halloween!

Have I Finally Found my Perfect NUDE?!

If you are a regular reader of my blog then you will know I've constantly been on the hunt for the perfect nude lipstick. I have struggled to find that ultimate perfect nude lipstick, the one that will be such a good colour for my pale skin that I can just wear it with anything. I finally think I have found it!

A Different Take on The Maybelline Color Tattoo?!

I don't know about you guys but I am obsessed with the Maybelline Color Tattoos! Quite often during the summer I will just pop some of the On and On Bronze onto my lids and I will be good to go. When I was on a last minute dash to Walgreens the day before my flight home from Florida, I spotted some of the Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Chromes hidden on a bottom shelf at the BACK of the beauty aisles. I was so excited that it flew into my basket.

Sephora Tarte Birthday Gift

The free birthday gift that Sephora offers to it's Beauty Insiders is one of my favourite perks. Whenever I'm in America around the month of my birthday I always make sure to pick it up. This year I was actually over the allotted time that Sephora give you to pick it up, however the nice lady at Sephora still let me have mine.

That Fall Feeling! OPI Nail Lacquer in 'It's a Piazza Cake'

I first spotted a pot of random OPI shades sitting on the counter of one of the shops I was in whilst on holiday. My plan was to pick out clothes and makeup suitable for the upcoming Autumn season. Rooting around in the pot revealed this amazing shade. My first thought when I picked it up was that it made me think of pumpkin spice; the ultimate icon of Autumn.

My Travel Makeup Bag!

There are only a few more days until I'm back home in Disney World! I've been super slacking on all my packing and getting my stuff organised. This was supposed to be last weeks post, however, I still was trying to decide on what to bring along with me. I feel like I've got to a good place where I've got makeup to cover all eventualities.

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Devotion

Recently I've been trying to pack up all my travel makeup for going a way next week, and it is proving harder than I remember. My makeup bag weights a tonne and I seem to be taking everything but the kitchen sink. While I have been trying to whittle down what I'm taking, I've been noticing products that I haven''t used a long time. The Revlon  Ultra  HD Matte Lipcolors are one of those products. Since chucking it in my travel bag, I have not been able to stop reaching for it.

Maybelline ColourSensational Lipstick in Honey Beige

Nude lipsticks. What can I say? Sometimes trying to find the right nude for your complexion can seem like a daunting task. I know that I, personally, am always on that hunt for the perfect nude lipstick. One that's not to deep or pastel, and neither too brown or pink toned; just that perfect middle ground that seems impossible to find. This brings me to my newest nude lipstick, the Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in Honey Beige.

Product Empties | Would I Repurchase? Part 2

I received such a good response to my previous empties post that I've decided to delve back into my empties bag and share some more! I'm still struggling to remember to pop my products in the bag. My mum sees an empty-ish bottle in the bathroom and just chucks it straight in the bin. Boo!

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Lipstick in Cool Girl

Matte liquid lipsticks are still having their moment! Everybody still loves a good matte lip. While I  like to experiment with different brand formulas, I still h ave a few brands that I think have some of the better matte liquid lip formulas.

First Ever Bobbi Brown Haul!

Recently a Bobbi Brown counter opened up not too long ago in my local Debenhams beauty hall! I have always wanted to try Bobbi Brown products, but I always get distracted by new launches from brands that I've tried already. There are still quite a lot of makeup brands that I have very little experience with, and Bobbi Brown is one of them.  So I decided to change all that and pick up some items that I had been keeping my eye on, or just really caught my eye. I picked up a Shimmer Brick Compact, an Art Stick Liquid Lip, a Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, and the Skin Foundation Stick. I'm so excited to get using all of these!

June Monthly Beauty Favourites

Another month done and dusted! I swear it feels like it was just Christmas. This month was very important to me. June was the month that four quick years finally paid off; the month that will forever be remembered as when I graduated University. I'm a bit sad I'm not going straight into my Master's Degree, but I'm going to take some time off, make some money to help pay for it, and get some experience. But nobody wants to hear about my life, makeup is much, much more exciting! During my little hiatus, I took the opportunity to test lots of new makeup. June's beauty favourites are some of the stand out products from that time period.

MAC Liptensity Lipstick in Driftwood

I'm back after a long month long hiatus! To make the story short, I have been seriously struggling with finishing University and trying to decide what I'm now going to do with my life. The pressure got a little too much and so I've been living under a rock until now. Like, total social media blackout. I've also struggled with inspiration, and just generally feeling 'blue'. But I'm back and making the attempt to get back into the swing of things.

Makeup Revolution HD Pro Strobe Revolution Set

I'm so excited about this review. I have been wanting to do a review on it for a while, however it was limited edition at the time I bought it. However, I received an email this week announcing that it had been launched this week. The product is the Makeup Revolution HD Pro Strobe Revolution.

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.

April Monthly Beauty Favourites

Hi guys, remember me! Yeah, it's been a while since I've uploaded a post. I'm so sorry. April was a very busy month for me, preparing for my final exams. Fortunately, I only have two left and then I'm a slave to my blog again. I have a very large backlog of posts that I am so eager to share with you all. It's the start of May so I thought I'd sit down and do my April Beauty Favourites. I feel like I've been using some great products!

The BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone

I have achieved a major highlighting goal: to own a BECCA highlighter! Ever since writing my highlighter post I have been itching to go out and find a new highlighter. With all the buzz that surrounds the BECCA highlighters ,  I decided that I would try them out.

March Beauty Monthly Favourites

Cliche alert, but where has this year gone already! Just handed in my final dissertation and my exams start at the end of the month! I could have sworn it was just January. That end of another month has come upon me on and so I would like to share with you all my March favourites.

Product Empties | Would I Repurchase?

Being beauty obsessed, it's very rare I finish up a product. Whenever I see my empties bag getting fuller I feel so accomplished. For the past six months, I have been amassing all of the products that I've either finished or have gotten well past their expiration date. Not committing to a full declutter, but if I go to use a product and it seems 'off', I'll toss it in by empties bag. My largest struggle with this is that I'm always forgetting to pop my products in the bag. I share a bathroom, so I'll often find products that should be in my empties bag, in the bin. I need to get better about putting them straight in the bag.

March Birchbox | ft. Korres, Benefit, Batiste!

This month was all about Birchbox reflecting on where they started, and how far they have come. The choice subscribers got to make this month was which shade of the Benefit They're Real! Double the Lip in either Pink Thrills or Lusty Rose. There were no full sized products this month, so all five of my products were sample size. Birch box announced that this month's dispatch would be delayed a few days due to having to wait for the Benefit samples to arrive.

Spring High-End Beauty Haul

It feels like such a long time since I've done a drugstore haul! I have been resisting, holding myself back from any big spending sprees, but I thought that doing a Spring high-end haul would be nice. To be truthful, I really only needed to get foundation but who can resist a Debenhams Beauty Hall.

Steppin' into Spring with Pastels

Spring is just around the corner. Here in Scotland, I've have been noticing a lot more sunshine and warm weather. Wildflowers are popping up left, right and centre! I've started moving away from my darker burgundies and chocolates and making the effort to reach for brighter, lighter tones. Whenever the season changes I feel the urge to buy new nail polish; like my transformation from winter to spring, starts with my nails.

February Monthly Beauty Favourites

This is one of the longest favourites posts I have ever written! I forgot to post January's Favourites so this is a combinated favourites over the last two months, as opposed to the single month. February has been a good month for beauty favourites, I've been making the effort to switch up what products I've been trying in an effort to not get stuck in a product rut.

Birchbox February 2017 | ft. Keeome, Spectrum Brushes and POP Beauty

Birchbox is here again! After my mixed feelings of last months box, I decided to let my subscription roll over another month. I just so badly want a subscription box and Birchbox seems to be one of the most popular; I just want it to work.

Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights in Pink Light

I'm all about the highlighter: the shinier the better! If you've seen my post all about my highlighters then you'll know that all but one of my highlighters is a powder. To be honest, I'm kind of afraid of liquid highlighters. I'm not really sure the best way to use them without turning my makeup streaky. Thus, I challenged myself to find a way! My poor Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights was getting neglected at the back of my drawer.

Birchbox January 2016

Finally, I have given in and purchased myself a monthly-subscription to Birchbox. I have wanted to get another beauty box since I purchased the Cohorted Black Beauty Box. Since, purchasing the subscription, I have been waiting with eager anticipation. And it finally came last week!

NYX Lip Lingerie in Lace Detail

The NYX Lip Lingeries; a product I've wanted to try ever since I first read about their release. I have finally found them stocked on my local NYX stand. When I saw them I wanted them all. However, I reigned myself in and purchase just the one; for now.  The Lip Lingeries are not super new but it's the first time I've noticed them on the NYX stand. The colour selection of the range runs very nude, which I have been recently getting very into. Lace Detail is a very light peachy, pink nude colour, unlike any other liquid lipstick I own. I feel that the colour may be just a touch too light for me, but perhaps not. Sometimes I look in the mirror and think that something looks off, but other times I think it looks quite good.

NARS Nail Polish in the shade Dark Room

I've been feeling like I'm stuck in a nail polish stump recently. I've been going back and forth between my two favourite Barry M Nail Paints for the past month, Chilli and Almond, and generally being feeling uninspired. I was contemplating buying some new additions to my collection, when I decided to clean out what I already own. It was during this clear out that I discovered this NARS Nail Polish that I had bought but only tried a few times.

A Year of Beauty 2016

Happy New Year Everyone! I sincerely hope that it was a good one. I was very boring this year spending it at home with my family; movies, disney board games and nibbles can compare to nothing else. However, with 2016 now in the past, I thought I'd make my first post of the new year a beauty round up. The past year has been full of new beauty discoveries, some I'm still using and others I found to be a passing fad.
